Vitamin D supplement for children: highly recommended

According to the most recent KiGGS study conducted by the RKI, almost half of all children and adolescents in Germany have vitamin D levels that are scientifically too low. This is worrying because bone building processes continue to take place during childhood. (Until puberty, the bones consist partly of cartilage tissue, which only gradually “ossifies”.) Taking a vitamin D preparation is therefore definitely useful for children.

What sets SONNENKIND apart?

SONNENKIND is designed in such a way that the child's vitamin D supply is supplemented to a reasonable extent - 500 IU is enough. According to the DGE, children need a total of 800 IU per day, but it must be noted that their body produces some of it itself. A daily dose of more than 500 IU, as provided by many competing preparations, may be too high for children.
